Full description

Windmill, remains of.
Said to have been built 1801; shown on (S1).
Brick towermill by 1834. Steam power installed in about 1870. Last used 1908 derelict by 1926. (S2) shows old sails, outer pair with nine bays and inner pair with only eight; drive from engine on first floor to exterior. 5 storeys, boatshaped cap, 2 ground floor doors, gallery, 8 bladed fantail. Uncapped by 1937.
2.7m (9ft) high stump of tower remains in 1984.
