Full description
1983. Found on plough point, hence scratching.
Bronze terret, simple loop collars vertically grooved; mid 1st century AD according to A. Gregory (NAU). (S1) p.41ff suggests a span from 1st century BC to 2nd century AD; loop distorted but other features agree with her late group. See also two from a hoard at Middlebie, Dunfriess, and a cast bronze example from Suffolk in BM.
See (S2) in file.
See (S3) in the Illustration Library.
Identified by A. Gregory (NAU) and E. B. Green (NCM).
