Summary
This is the site of a Roman settlement, and fieldwalking and metal detecting have recovered Roman pottery, coins and a spoon handle in the shape of a heron. Iron Age pottery has also been found on the site, suggesting that there may have been a settlement here during the Iron Age. An Early Saxon belt plate, and medieval and post medieval coins, pottery and metal finds including medieval horse harness pendants have also been found.
