Summary
From the 1960s a number of Roman period objects have been recovered from this area, including coins, pottery sherds and roof tile fragments, as well as late Roman bracelet fragments. In addition, aerial photography has recorded the cropmarks of a possible Roman ditch, and an Early Bronze Age arrowhead has also been recovered from this area. A Roman coin was discovered here in the 1960s-1970s.

1962.
Roman sherds including colour-coated ware, and fragments of roofing tiles, picked up in ploughed field. [1]
In 1969.
Roman coin (2AE) of Magnus Maximus (RIC IX, 49 no 32 (3 or 4)) found here.
Ditches seem to be visible on RAF AP.

Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged flint arrowhead, barbs and tang broken. See drawing (S2).

Two bronze bracelet fragments:
i) long panel of horizontal groove between edge nicks 2 lozenge units with ring and dot. 4th century.
ii) eye terminal extant; horizontal groove between edge nicks: ?plain unit with marginal grooves; unit of transverse grooves: double ring and dot. 4th century.
