Name:Prehistoric flint to post medieval pottery sherds, objects and flint (poorly located)

Summary

Fieldwalking in the 1960s and 1970s recovered a number of bone, slag, copper alloy, daub, brick, stone and quern fragments. Prehistoric, Roman (including mortaria), Late Saxon, medieval, transitional and post medieval pottery sherds were also found, along with prehistoric flints. These included two Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged arrowheads and one leaf arrowhead.

Full description

1960s-1970s. Unlocated material from collection. Probably all found on Park Farm area.
Mineralised bone, slag, copper alloy, daub, brick, stone and quern fragments.
Prehistoric, Roman (including mortaria), Late Saxon, medieval, transitional and post medieval pottery sherds.
Prehistoric flints, including two Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged arrowheads and one leaf arrowhead.
Identified by A. Lawson (NAU).
