Full description

World War Two pillbox.
Base only, crossed by track.
Visited by E. Rose (NAU), 22 April 1982.

Previously erroneously located at TF 75033 44498 (which is in fact NHER 18073), now corrected to TF 75040 44798.
For details of photographic survey previously recorded under this number in error, see NHER 18073.
A. Cattermole (HES), 8 November 2010.

March 2006. Desk-based Assessment and Walkover Survey.
Assessment of land at RSPB Titchwell.
A map of 1943, annotated to show World War Two debris, records this structure as a "partly demolished pillbox".
The base of this pillbox was noted during the walkover survey, although as the location of NHER 18074 had not yet been corrected at this time the remains were recorded as a new site (Site 2).
See report (S1) for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 22 July 2015.
