Summary

Aerial photographs taken in 1977 showed the earthworks of a moat and other miscellaneous linear features here. Subsequent investigation of the area recorded the presence of medieval tofts and closes along with several medieval pottery sherds.

1997. Earthwork Survey.
Survey at 1:1000 and report in file, denoting a series of medieval tofts and closes with settlement into the 1950s, abutting a former common to the north. Site extended to south and west.
2 medieval pottery sherds recovered (1 medieval unglazed body sherd and 1 Glazed Grimston body sherd).
Finds identified by A. Rogerson (NLA).
