Full description

Lime kiln at Barn Owl Cottage. (Formerly located within the garden of Staithe House).
A circular flint and brick lime kiln with a pointed entrance and rake holes.
This structure was surveyed members of by the Ludham W.E.A. Industrual Archaeology class in 1980. The report produced by the class includes a measured plan and various profiles and elevations by N. Legg (S1, pp 49-50), but no written description was provided other than a note that it is the same type as the lime kiln at Acle Bridge (S1, p.41).
