Full description

March 1980. Location [1]. Found on surface of ploughed field.
Sherds of Roman pottery and lumps of chalk (building material?).
Found at north side of field, by edge of salt-marsh, and sherds of Thetford ware concentrated along east edge of field.
NB. Provisional information only based on telephone conversation with finder.

In (S1) finder reports further scatter to south of early medieval and Late Saxon sherds and building material, and dates above Roman finds to 2nd century.
