Record Details

NHER Number:15556
Type of record:Monument
Name:Site of post medieval windmill

According to Faden's map of 1797 two windmills stood at this location. Further research shows that only one mill existed here (See NHER 18026 for the other) and that it was a post mill that was last used in 1922. The roundhouse of the mill remained on site as a residential property until its demolition in 1971.
