Full description

1978. 'Found in southwest Norfolk'. On Roman site, to be revealed by finder at later date. Found with metal detecting.
Cast copper alloy vessel with bipartite soldered body, hinged lid and drop handle attached by loops.
Sherds of late 1st century grey ware vessel found with it. (S1) in file.
Seen and drawn by A. Gregory (NAU) November 1978.

1982.
Finder reports that vessel was found by his father in an unknown field in western part of Hockwold parish.
