Summary
Metal detecting in 1978 to 1979 recovered a number of coins from the medieval and post medieval, including some copper and silver coins issued in the Commonwealth. Objects were recovered from all over the surface of the field, which is said locally to be site of an 'Old Fair'.

Full description
Found winter 1978-1979 with metal detector in ploughsoil. [1]
Cut quarter of short-cross silver penny, possibly Henry II.
Halfpenny coin of Edward III, and copper alloy double-looped buckle of medieval type.
Also large quantities of post medieval metalwork, and copper and silver coins from Commonwealth and later.
Finds scattered all over surface of field, which is said locally to be site of 'Old Fair'.
