House is said to be from the reign of Henry VIII.
E. Rose (NAU)

(S2) quotes Lestrange Papers as saying that ships' timbers from wrecks were used to build the 'manor stable' at Heacham in 1698.
E. Rose (NLA) 5 December 1994.

(S3) dates the house to the 17th century, with mid 19th century alterations.
2 storey, double pile house, with 2 storey 17th century service wing to south.
2 storey gabled mid 19th century carstone porch and blocked original door.
17th century brick dressings to earlier larger ground and first floor windows, to plinth and quoins.
For full details see (S3).
S. Spooner (NLA) 10 February 2006

Detailed examination confirms that the porch is a 19th century addition as is the west pile of the north block. The main house as stated is in two sections but whether both are contemporary as the Listing states or whether the south block is older, is very hard to tell; the interior is all concealed. 19th century outbuildings to south contain large quantities of reused limestone.
(S4) in file.

January 2007. See as existing (2006) and as proposed plans in file from application to convert to hotel, spa, holiday cottages etc (S5).
