Summary
Set off the large green known as the Market Place, this is a two storey red brick house dating to 1746, with a slate roof and a slightly projecting central bay with a Tuscan pedimented porch. At the rear stand a stable and shed, the stable dating to the 18th century, but remodelled in the 19th century when the shed was built. These outbuildings are now recorded separately as NHER 65299.

November 1959. Listed, Grade II*.
Listing Description excerpt:
"House. Late 18th century. Red brick house with slate hipped roof and moulded wood eaves cornice. Two storeys. Central porch with Tuscan columns supporting entablature with dentilled cornice…three moulded stone steps. Left hand wing one storey, red brick, gable-ended slate roof, round-headed doorway, with semi-circular fanlight with radial bars and flush panelled door."

This house was in fact built in 1746 on the site of the Black Horse public house. It may have been since refaced. Information from the Hingham Society.
