Full description

September 1977. Visit.
Ice house.
Formerly in earthen mound, brickwork now projects.
Ruinous tunnel leads to an unusual rectangular chamber with barrel vaulted roof, floor of which is the usual circular basin.
Transition between the two is achieved by odd chamfers of brick in the corners.
