CROPMARKS AT THIS SITE ARE NOW DIVIDED BETWEEN NHER 8258 AND NHER 38542.

Probable ring ditch cropmark.

Lady living next to the Swan Inn states that this field is a medieval fairstead, and is much visited by metal detector users in 1985.

Cropmark of ring ditch still visible, also visible is a trackway, a series of rectilinear enclosures and linear features.
It is likely to relate to a similar group of cropmarks to the northeast (NHER 8258).
