Full description

17 August 1977. Site visit.
The school is constructed from brick with a central porch and decorated attached columns on the entrance and stepped gable above. Believed to be early 19th century and the stonework is remarkably convincing in that case. Main building with north and south stepped gables more obviously 19th century. Tall Gothic style windows have been bricked up and replaced by modern square ones. Bulwer-Lytton coat of arms on porch. Now a house.
E. Rose (NAU), 17 August 1977.

June 2009. Norfolk Rural Schools Survey.
The school was built approximately between 1840 and 1842 supported by voluntary and private subsidies.
