Full description

Around 1963.
'Neolithic quern weighing 71lbs' found at about this spot 'on outer edge of wood' (i.e. west edge). Sunk in ground 'level with its top edge'. Surmised to have been ploughed up in field to west.
Information provided in around 1975 via C. Hills (NAU) from 'a man' (presumably [1] as he claimed to have been the finder of the medieval sherds at Burnham Norton, site NHER 1736).
