Full description

January 1977.
Field east of moated site. Stubble, on clay soil.
Concentration of twenty four Ipswich Ware sherds found 18.2m (20 yards) inside field gate, and elsewhere in field two Roman sherds and two sherds Thetford Ware.
Found after one morning's work.
Identified by P. Wade Martins (NAU).

Sceatta BMC type 24a Merovingian derived.
