Summary
Aerial photographs of this area show a large rectangular cropmark. It has been suggested that the cropmark relates to a moated hall site with an associated chapel. Metal detecting here during the 1980s recovered medieval objects including a jetton, coins, a lead seal and a harness mount.

Full description
Possible moated site of hall, with chapel.
1983. Fieldwalking produced medieval sherds. NAU air photograph shows large rectangular cropmark to north.
Pre 1987. Found with metal detector. 13th century jetton and medieval silver penny.
1989-90. Found with metal detector. Lead seal, medieval harness mount, medieval coins.
