Full description

1975. Found on belt of potato harvester in northwest corner of field where 1970 hoard found about 457m (500 yards) away. Looped socketed axe. Casting flaws by loop and cutting edge. Double moulding at socket mouth. Cutting edge well splayed, not sharpened. Resembles number 8 of hoard but darker and more even patina. Drawn (S1) NCM, copy in the Illustration Library.
