Summary
Cropmarks of a rectangular enclosure can be seen on aerial photographs. These have been interpreted as a Roman temple or medieval warrener's (rabbit keeper's) lodge. Prehistoric worked flints have been found. These included Neolithic axeheads and arrowheads.

Cropmarks indicating a rectangular enclosure were recorded in 1946. These were interpreted as either a Roman temple or medieval lodge. Neolithic and Early Bronze Age flint implements were collected as stray finds from the same area during the 1970s.
