Summary
A 1976 aerial photograph showed the cropmarks of a complex of rectangular earthworks, and fieldwalking in the same year recovered medieval pottery and tile fragments. The features were destroyed by ploughing in 1977, but further fieldwalking in 1981 recovered more medieval pottery.

Full description
1976. Complex of small rectangular earthworks noted from Ordnance Survey air photograph. Tile fragments and medieval sherds found in upcast from land drain trenches by Norfolk Archaeological Rescue Group survey in 1976.
A. Gregory (NAU).
Destroyed by ploughing March 1977.
1981 to 2. Fieldwalking. Medieval sherds, mostly green glazed Grimston, probably 12th to 13th century.
Costel handle; probably an import.
Raeren stoneware rim and lead glazed sherd.
