P. Watkins (HES), 28 April 2015.
June 2002. Norfolk NMP.
The feature is visible as a parchmark, with an average width of 9m, and with the traces of a narrow ditch on its northern side, (S3). The feature is visible for a length of 920m, running from TF 9021 4349 to TF 8929 4356. This is almost certainly a cropmark of the road depicted on Clerk’s map of 1590 (S4), which is labelled as 'The way from Burnham Market to Sto' further to the west. The road is likely to have been in use in the medieval period, but may actually have been a routeway at an earlier date.
M. Brennand (NMP), 19 June 2002.
