Summary
A Bronze Age round barrow has been recorded here. It was excavated in 1933 and a single food vessel with a concave neck of Bronze Age date was retrieved. Subsequent ploughing in 1955 reduced the height of the mound and by 1983 nothing of it was visible from the nearby road.

Full description
Barrow in ploughed field on Banham boundary.
Sandy soil much spread, no visible ditch.
76cm (2ft 6in) high, 30m (100ft) diameter.
Dug 8 April 1933 by [1].
At 61cm (2ft) down in centre found inverted food vessel with concave neck (Abercromby type 3) - rather late; early Middle Bronze Age.
Shown to the Prehistoric Society of East Anglia on 18 February 1934 (see (S1)).
