Summary

Fieldwalking, partial excavation and metal detecting since 1968 have recovered a range of objects, including Iron Age, Roman, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery fragments, a Bronze Age copper alloy spearhead, an Iron Age gold coin, an Early Saxon buckle, a Late Saxon brooch, a medieval jetton and medieval buckles. Also noted was a concentration of burnt stone, possibly once a hearth.

1968.
Roman sherds found.
Information from King's Lynn Museum.

1969. Pottery scatter noted and investigated.
Iron Age, Roman, Middle Saxon (S1)/(S2) and Late Saxon sherds, Roman box tile found.

1970. Metal detecting. Late Bronze Age spearhead.

1973. Field observation, contexts 2-4.
