This is the site of the original Manor House before Brooke Hall was built in around 1830 (see NHER 10152). Only the garden walls of early 18th century date survive.

Now occupied by modern houses in Old Hall Close.
Wall along road to west in chequered brickwork of about 1700, former garden wall.
Also on south; bears plaque in memory of Astley-Cooper, a surgeon born here.
