Summary

This may be the site of an Early Saxon inhumation and cremation cemetery, but its exact location is unknown. Brooches, beads, and other metalwork were found at the site in the late 19th century, as was an Iron Age loomweight.

Full description

1867 to 1869.
Early Saxon brooches, wrist clasps, girdle hanger, shield bosses, spearheads, glass beads and mounts, found in the late 19th century, indicating the presence of an Early Saxon inhumation and cremation cemetery.
The exact location of the cemetery is uncertain, it may be located in the parish of Howe.
An Iron Age loomweight was also found.
