Fieldwalking and metal detecting have recovered a large number of Roman finds including coins, pieces of pot and quern, potentially military harness mounts, two lead steelyard weights, a possible Roman brooch and a Roman helmeted bust from a figurine.

Pin from brooch, white metal coating on head which has offset roughly circular terminal, pierced in centre, below a collar of rectangular section with two zones of engraved transverse lines, with a long tapering shaft. ?Roman.
