1986. Fieldwalking.
Found in fieldwalking at 15 to 20 metre intervals.
Medieval and post medieval sherds. Few pot boilers and flints.

A143 Brockdish-Needham Bypass.
Field survey on proposed route of bypass (Field 4385; Context 2):
10 prehistoric flint flakes.
1 ?Neolithic flint ?axe.

A143 Brockdish-Needham Bypass.
Observation and metal-detecting of stripped surface.
No archaeologically-significant features observed and no finds recovered.
See report (S4) for further information and NHER 31423 for details of unstratified metal objects recovered from relocated topsoil being used to form banks at unspecified locations along the bypass route. This work is also noted in (S5).
