Summary
Metal-detecting and fieldwalking at this location between 1988 and 2021 recovered prehistoric worked flints, including an Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged flint arrowhead; Late Saxon and medieval pottery sherds; a notable quantity of post-medieval pottery; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; post-medieval jettons; a post-medieval token and a range of other, Middle Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Middle Saxon strap end; a Late Saxon strap end, stirrup-strap mount and penannular finger or ear ring; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval harness pendants, a casket key, cauldron foot, furniture mount, ewer spout, lead spindle whorl, lead possible bird feeder and lead weights; a medieval/post-medieval chafing dish fragment and other copper alloy vessel fragments and post-medieval book clasps, furniture escutcheon plates, a thimble, bridle boss, copper alloy vessel handle, white metal bell fragments, lead bird feeder and lead cloth seals.

Late Saxon copper alloy openwork strap end, same on both sides (top missing). Stylised leaf ornament, moulded knob at base. Bosses around edge on frame. See (S1).
Medieval copper alloy harness pendant fragment, with suspension loop roughly circular and partly missing.

Medieval cauldron foot fragment. Copper alloy.
Spout of medieval ewer, moulding near effluent end, perhaps very stylised ears. Copper alloy.
Copper alloy medieval belt-mount. Two rectangular plates with rocker arm decoration on front plate. Pierced hole in centre. Single rivet at each end. Leather inside.
Late medieval buckle, double looped, leaf terminal at one end. One loop is rectangular, other oval. Remains of iron from pin. Copper alloy.
