Summary
This is the site of a windmill, which was built before 1857 and collapsed in 1911. A section of the original mill house survived as part of Station Garage house until the late 1970s. This was a clay lump building with a brick façade and was due to be demolished in 1979. A second mill house was built in 1860 and was demolished in the late 1970s.

March and November 1979. Norfolk Archaeological Research Group survey.
Site of 'mill', presumably a windmill, dating from pre 1860.
Present house clay lump with brick skin. Rear portion is original mill house. Front portion of building added soon after 1860; the premises became the Railway Tavern (unless the miller has also kept a tavern before his new house was built). Other additions of 1929 when converted to a garage - became Station Garage. To be demolished.
Present house was replaced as the mill house in 1860 when a new mill house was built nearby (recently demolished).
