Summary

In a field named 'Bloodfield' near East Bilney church spurs, horse-bits and sword hilts have been recovered. It is said to be a Civil War battlefield. Between 2009 and 2010 sherds of Early Saxon and medieval pottery were recovered. An Early Neolithic laurel leaf and prehistoric flint flake were recovered as stray finds in 2010.

'Near East Bilney church in a meadow called the Bloodfield' were found spurs, horse-bits, sword hilts etc.
Said to be a Civil War battlefield.
