Metal detecting in 1995 recovered part of an Early Saxon cruciform brooch. A systematic survey of part of this field in 2013/2014 recovered several prehistoric flint flakes.

Found in southernmost part of field, at [1] :
Early Saxon bow fragment, from a cruciform brooch.
Identified by S. Margeson (NCM).
A. Rogerson (NLA), 3 June 1995. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 15 August 2023.

July 2013-April 2014. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
Survey of proposed route of Dudgeon Offshore Windfarm onshore cable (Field 21).
Finds recovered at this location included:
2 prehistoric flint flakes.
1 ?Early Neolithic flint flake.
