Metal-detecting at this location in 2001 and 2024 recovered a significant quantity of Roman pottery; Iron Age, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; an undatable fragment of fired clay; medieval and medieval/post-medieval ceramic roof tile fragments; a Roman or medieval lava quern fragment; undatable iron smelting slag and copper alloy casting waste; Roman and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval token and a range of other, undated and Late Iron Age/Roman to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an undated fragment of silver sheet and lead probable weight; a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; Roman brooches and a military harness mount; Late Saxon to post-medieval lead spindle whorls; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval lead pot mend and lead weight; medieval/post-medieval book clasps, purse fragments, a dagger guard or quillon, copper alloy vessel fragments, copper alloy nail and lead weight and post-medieval furniture mounts, crotal bells, scissors, a furniture handle escutcheon, harness mount, rowel spur, end cap from scale-tang knife, hinge from small box or casket and probable iron shot.

Found at [1]:
Early post medieval double looped buckle frame. Both loops oval, pointed lobe on both sides at ends of bar and a rounded lobe at both ends of both outer edges. 32 x 21mm (Finders no. 23).
