Summary

Metal detecting here during the period of 1992-2002 recovered a collection of multi period metal artefacts. Amongst these were a medieval three-lobed sword/dagger pommel, a post medieval enamelled and decorated knife handle and an Iron Age mini terret. Examples of coinage from a variety of periods were also noted.

May 1992. Metal detecting. Ill-defined area of field south of Green bank.
Seevn medieval coins- see list in file. Identified by J. Davies (NCM).
Three-lobed sword/dagger pommel (probably dagger) with ribbing between lobes. Early medieval. Identified by S. Margeson (NCM).
