Summary
A Roman pot was found here in 1961. Subsequent Fenland fieldwalking in 1986 recovered odd medieval sherds and prehistoric flints from this area. Metal-detecting in 2023 recovered a medieval mount.

Roman pot.

Previously recorded as NHER 3363 (the former extent of which his now saved as NHER 23008 Context 3).

24 October 1986. Systematic Fieldwalking Survey.
Fenland fieldwalking at southern end of field (reference RCN AB; area now recorded as Context 4) on well weathered soil with young cereal.
Context 1: odd medieval sherds and flints across field. (Flints from Beaker period - F. Healy (NAU).)
Context 2: at [2] one scatter of flint within restricted area on top of valley slope.
