Summary

In 1970 a concentration of Roman tiles was identified at this location. In the early 1980s a prehistoric quern, possible Mesolithic flint blades and a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged flint arrowhead were found at the same location.

Full description

1970. Found about 110m (100yds) northwest of ruined church in 1970.
Concentration of Roman tile, but no indication of Roman occupation.
Information form member of the public [1].
This discovery was reported in (S1).

1980s. Stray Find.
Found by [2] near Bawsey church ruins on surface of arable field:
1 Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age small barbed and tanged arrowhead.
A number of other finds from this field were amongst items subsequently given to the King's Lynn Museum (KILLM : 1992.317), including:
1 prehistoric flint quern fragment.
15 Mesolithic patinated blades.
