An early 19th century stucco and brick lodge with a central wooden portico with Tuscan Doric columns and pilasters. The cast iron gates, brick gate piers and railings all date to about 1810.

Full description

Gates to Melton Constable Park with good yellow brick and flint gateposts topped by urns, about 1810.
Four cannon set in ground.
Lodge house to side.
Visited by E. Rose (NAU) 30 November 1981.

Rear (east) face of house has a portico set on coupled pairs of Tuscan columns.

Side walls and railings destroyed by car impact 1992, replaced then damaged again by second impact.

Railings still in pieces on ground; is this from the same accident or another?
Large sandstone boulder placed in front.
