Summary
The site of a leper hospital that was in operation from before 1200. Nothing now remains, although pottery fragments have been found, and there is much reused limestone in the existing farmhouse and barn.

Full description
Lazar house at Choseley Farm; possibly here from before 1200 to the Reformation (S1).
Local legend puts chapel at bottom of pond!
Hole or well noted in pond (see file for 1323) from which 'a lot of funny old things came up when it was cleaned out; old bits of pot' (Information from farmer).
Large quantities of reused limestone in house and barn; human bones said to have been found.

This was one of only two leper hospitals in Norfolk of the order of St Lazarus, dependant on Burton Lazars from Leicestershire, the other being Wymondham.
