Parish Summaries provide overviews of the large amount of information held in the Norfolk Historic Environment Record (NHER) for each parish in Norfolk. These short articles run chronologically from prehistory through to the modern period highlighting selected examples of sites and finds.
It has been beyond the scope of the project to carry out detailed research into the historical background, documents, maps or other sources, but we hope that the Parish Summaries will encourage you to refer to the detailed records, and to consult other bibliographical sources listed in the Further Reading section following each Parish Summary.
