Summary

This is the site of a large military bunker, probably dating from World War Two. Fragments of pottery dating from the late prehistoric to the post medieval period have been found by fieldwalking.

Full description

10 November 1983. Subdivision of 100 sq.m. cultivated, poor conditions. Site 108.
3 sherds flint gritted prehistoric.
3 sherds probably Roman greyware.
1 base Roman oxydised.
4 sherds unglazed probably medieval.
1 base, 1 sherd glazed red earthenware.
1 sherd post medieval slip decorated.

Site contains a huge underground bunker, probably from World War Two.
