Summary

This church is on the same site as an earlier Saxon one and some of the building material has been reused in the present building that was built around 1300. A new tower was built between 1484 and 1519 when the nave and aisle roofs were heightened and aisle windows changed. Other restorations were made in the 19th century.

Full description

Mostly of about 1300 with top of tower, some windows and roof about 1500.

June 1960. Listed, Grade I.
Parish church. Medieval and later. Flint with ashlar and some brick dressings. Slate and lead roofs. South west tower porch; aisled nave; chancel. 14th century tower porch with diagonal buttresses and rectangular stair turret to north west.
