Summary

Metal-detecting between 2004 and 2017 recovered prehistoric worked flints; medieval/post-medieval pottery; Iron Age, Roman, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval coins including a hoard of two 2nd-century silver denarii and a post-medieval farthing of Charles dated to 1636 to 1649; medieval and post-medieval jettons and post-medieval tokens and Roman to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Roman lead steelyard weight and furniture mount; a Late Saxon stirrup terminal and disc brooch fragment; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval pot mends; a medieval/post-medieval purse bar fragment, coin weight, rowel spur, lead weights, vessel fragments and a fragment of cast copper alloy cauldron; a post-medieval silver thimble, crotal bells, a fragment of saddle pommel, lead weight and two fragments of white metal clapper bell and undated gold ingots or metalworking scrap.

3 medieval coins, 1 buckle pin (gilt), 1 casket binding fragment and 1 buckle frame.
1 medieval/post-medieval vessel fragment.
1 post-medieval coin, 1 purse frame fragment, 1 tinned buckle frame fragment and 1 buckle frame.

1 undated gold metalworking scrap/ingot fragment.
The fragment was disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2005 T353) and returned to finder.
