Summary

The hilt of a Late Bronze Age sword was found by a farmer in his field. Later metal detecting recovered four further fragments allowing complete reconstruction of the sword.

Before 30 November 2001.
Sword hilt found by [1].

February 2002.
[2] returned to spot with metal detector to search for remainder of sword after advised by K. Hinds (NLA) and with permission of landowner [1].
Late Bronze Age incomplete Ewart Park sword in five fragments including hilt.
