Full description

November 1999. Metal-detecting.
Middle Saxon silver pinhead. In shape, a cube with the corners cut off. All faces have a grooved border, in laid (possibly only on the major faces) with niello. The far side faces also have a grooved cross inlaid with niello. Double collar above a ciruclar broken off shaft. 8th to 9th century.
