Summary

Fieldwalking recovered Neolithic worked flint flakes, Iron Age or Early Saxon, Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery and Roman tile. The large number of Roman finds suggests this was the site of Roman settlement that was established quite early and continued for some time.

(S2) says this Romano-British site is compact and produced a range of fabrics, together with a few remnants of tiles. It appears to have been established quite early and to have continued for some time. An aura of finds extends around the site.
