Summary
Metal detecting recovered Iron Age, Roman, Early Saxon, Middle Saxon, medieval and post medieval metal finds. These include part of a Roman spoon, fragments of several Early Saxon brooches, two Middle Saxon hooked tags and a medieval seal matrix inscribed in Latin 'Seal of Richard Frank'. Roman, Late Saxon and post medieval coins and tokens were also found. The number of Early Saxon finds suggests this may be the location of an Early Saxon burial.
