Summary

Undated features, including at least one enclosure and a trackway, are visible on aerial photographs. Metal detecting in 1997 recovered a Roman coin, medieval belt fittings and a medieval strap end. Also found were pieces of Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery.

One Roman denarius.
Medieval belt fittings, strap end.
Roman, medieval and post medieval sherds.

NLA air photography.
Cropmark of a rectangular enclosure, which has a parallel stretch of ditch immediately to the north, which may be part of a trackway or another enclosure.
Crossing through these features is what appears to be a very broad double ditched trackway.
This feature may be part of a much larger, irregular enclosed area.
