Summary

Metal-detecting between 1994 and 2014 recovered fragments of four Late Bronze Age socketed axes, possibly from a hoard; medieval floor tile fragments; post-medieval coins and a token and undated and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include an undated copper alloy ring; a Late Saxon/medieval strap-end; a medieval ampulla, buckle, spur fragment and copper alloy vessel fragments and a post medieval buckle, crotal bell, weight and silver stud featuring a seated dog.

Late Bronze Age socketed axe blade fragment, (S4).
Late Bronze Age socketed axe body fragment, (S5).
Early post medieval buckle, double looped, one end missing. Knops at joint of frame and bar with large flower shaped knop on outer edge.
16th/17th century bronze stud with large circular domed head, plain.
Round sectioned pin.
Silver stud with bronze shaft. Seated dog facing right, legend very worn. HOLLIST…MAKER? ?for furniture.

Medieval bronze vessel fragment.
Medieval spur buckle with oval lipped frame, pin missing, plate with loop to hold upper leather and hook for attachment to spur terminal. Traces of gilding on buckle frame. 2nd half of 14th century.
Early post medieval buckle frame fragment with moulded decoration, drilled for bar.
